The format for most church promotion: Rock band worship, smiling children, and some closing message by the hip bearded Pastor about making Jesus name great.
No thanks... we don't like fake news or fake church. Jesus said He came not to call the righteous, but sinners. Our church is pastored by and filled with sinners.

Questions on worship:
Come as you are - we aren't worried about what you are wearing. We're thankful you are joining us in worship today.
Scripture in word, song, and prayerOrderly
Somber and joyful, like the Christian life.
We believe families were made to be together, not separate, for worship and praise. There is a joy hearing children and adults speaking the Lord's Prayer together. We offer a special Children's Sermon each week as part of the service. A Nursery is available for small children as needed.
After worship, we greet each other and enjoy some fellowship in our Fellowship Hall with coffee, water, juice, cookies, etc. We enjoy time together for mutual support and encouragement, and invite you to join us.
There are over 70 churches in Smyrna with affiliations like Baptist, Church of Christ, and non-denominational.
There is only one Lutheran church in Smyrna, however. How are we different?
God’s Word is 100% true and without error. All of Scripture is God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16). There are no “major” or “minor” doctrines or “essential” or “non-essential” teachings. All of His Word is truth (John 17:17).
We are honest and transparent about our condition. We are conceived in sin (Psalm 51:5), unable to save ourselves (Ephesians 2:8-9), and destined for eternal death (Romans 6:23).
Faith is God’s gift, not man’s action. Faith comes from hearing the message (Romans 10:17) and the Holy Spirit creates faith in our hearts (2 Thessalonians 2:13,14).
We do good works out of thanks to God! God creates us to do good works (Ephesians 2:10) and gives us strength (Galatians 2:20) to live lives of humble service to Him.
As Christians, we still sin and daily need forgiveness. We daily sin (Galatians 5:17) and are not perfect. That’s ok! By the grace of God, we are restored (Titus 2:14) to live a new life in Christ (2 Cor 5:15).
Because of Christ’s love, we serve our families, our community, and our world. Titus 3:8 and Galatians 6:10
This is only a very brief summary of the Bible’s teachings. An expanded confession of faith is available here.
